Educational Qualifications : 

For IAS : 

● A candidate must hold a Graduate Degree from any of the University.

For IFS : 

● A candidate must have Bachelor Degree with at least one of the subjects namely – Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science / Botany / Chemistry / Geology / Mathematics / Physics / Statistics / Zoology.

● A Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture / Forestry / Engineering from a recognized University.

Selection Process : 

A. Preliminary Examination ( Objective Type )

B. Main Examination

C. Interview

Pre – Exam Syllabus Details : 

● Both the question papers will be of the objective type and each will be of two hours duration.

● The General Studies Paper- all of the Civil Service ( Preliminary ) Examination will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.

● The question papers will be set both in Hindi and English.

● Details of syllabus are indicated in Part A of Section lll.

Main Exam Syllabus Details : 

● Paper A  : 300 Marks ( One of the Indian Language )

● Paper B : English 300 Marks 

● Paper to be counted for merits : 

Paper – l Essay : 250 Marks

Paper – ll General Studies – l : 250 Marks

Paper – lll General Studies – ll : 250 Marks

Paper – lV General Studies – lll : 250 Marks

Paper – V General Studies – IV : 250 Marks

Paper – VI Optional Subject – Paper – 1 : 250 Marks

Paper – VII Optional Subject – Paper – 2 : 250 Marks
